Register Today for the LIVESTRONG® Challenge
The LIVESTRONG Challenge is the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s (LAF) signature fundraising event. This annual series of events takes place in five cities across the country, enabling anyone to support the LAF’s mission to inspire and empower people affected by cancer.
The Challenge is a chance to push your limits – whether you walk a 5K or ride 100 miles, whether you raise $50 or $15,000. It’s an opportunity to take bold action, in the face of cancer, in a meaningful way.
In 2006, the LIVESTRONG Challenge will be held in:
- Southern California – June 25
- Portland, OR – July 30
- Denver, CO – August 20
- Philadelphia, PA – September 10
- Austin, TX – October 8
Each LIVESTRONG Challenge provides a variety of opportunities to help power the cancer survivorship movement.
- Walk (5K): Join people of all ages and capabilities ($50 registration fee and a $50 fundraising minimum).
- Run (5K/10K): Pick up the pace and push to a new personal best ($50 registration fee and a $50 fundraising minimum).
- Ride (10, 40, 70 or 100 miles): Participate in a signature cycling event inspired by the heroic courage, strength and perseverance that is exemplified by Lance Armstrong ($50 registration fee and a $500 fundraising minimum).
Participants who raise a minimum of $15,000 will be invited to join Lance Armstrong at the Ride for the Roses Weekend in Austin, TX, October 13-15, 2006.
Upon registering you will receive a variety of tools and support for fundraising as well as access to Nike’s 10//2 training program (10 weeks of training, 2 times per week, in each event city) prior to the event.
Choose your challenge and register today at livestrongchallenge.org or call 888.4.CHALLENGE (888.424.2553) to register over the phone.
